Maryanne Sherman  has over 25 years of experience in the insurance business. Since starting her own business, she has worked with nearly all of the world's most important insurance and reinsurance organizations at one time or another. Among her greatest successes are new product launches, establishing foreign national insurance companies or brokers in the U.S., launching brand extensions and differentiating so-called commodity products from each other. 

Because of her extensive involvement with the Association of Professional Insurance Women (APIW) - serving as Program Chair, President and Immediate Past President - Maryanne had the unique opportunity to meet the industry leaders, providing her with a broad perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing insurers, reinsurers, agents and brokers.

Maryanne started her insurance career at American International Group where she discovered the challenges of marketing products and services most people don't want to buy and don't understand. She left AIG for INA Corporation, where she marketed insurance and financial services products as well as healthcare services. Following the merger between INA and Connecticut General, Maryanne spearheaded CIGNA's launch campaign and was then selected to market the newly-formed company to its 35,000 employees worldwide.

Maryanne began her career as a copywriter for Macy's where she persuaded retail customers to shop. After creating successful dealer advertising programs for Ethan Allen, Maryanne moved into the insurance market where she found her perfect niche.

As a car enthusiast, Maryanne attended the Skip Barber race driving course. Her motive? To learn how to control a skid. Now, she goes really fast around curves with confidence, and brings that same confidence and experience to work with clients.
